Great Room & Entry

I will basically drop a ton of photos in this post because I'm not sure the best way to show the great room! This whole area makes me happy. Sometimes I just sit on the couch and look around...it's my dream great room. :)

Here's looking towards my favorite spot in the house...the entry...

I heart the vaulted ceiling in the entryway...which meant moving a giant HVAC unit and plumbing lines...sooooo worth it!

Hallway towards the bedrooms...

Looking at the kitchen...

Playroom...

Entry table...

The chairs I am OBSESSED with!

My little side table...

I'll do the kitchen in a separate post. :)

    1. The rug is from overstock, and the chairs are from Z Gallerie- they also have them at Ethan Allen and several other furniture places.

  4. I can't blame you for loving it; this is indeed an awesome room! Every details simply complement to everything, particularly with the vaulted ceiling. Thinking of all the work that has been done in here like moving the giant HVAC and plumbing lines, it's pretty tough and tiring. But the result definitely pay it off. With this, I'm looking forward in seeing your kitchen post.

  7. Hi there! My husband and I are about to purchase our first home and we keep coming back to this adorable 70s ranch but it needs a TON of work. It is in the neighborhood we want and on a great corner lot, but the entire thing needs to be gutted. We stumbled upon this blog last night when we were searching for ranch renovations and our style is pretty spot on with what y'all did with your home.

Would you be willing to exchange e-mails so I can send you a few questions we have about the process? You did an amazing job on your new home…it is beautiful!

  14. Can you tell me what is the size of the den and the height of the rooms as well? Outstanding design with the exposed beams; my wife and I are planning on using this same design in our den with the home we are building. Thanks for sharing --Bill
